Did anyone see the Marcus Camby incident in the SA/NY game?

Danny Ferry was clearing himself some room for an offensive rebound and he copped Marcus Camby in the eye. Camby knelt down hurt for a bit and the players started walking off for a TimeOut (or something).
Camby recovers his eyesight and charges over towards Danny Ferry and lines him up with a massive roundhouse punch towards the back of Ferry's head. But Jeff Van Gundy came to the rescue of Ferry and as Ferry ducked Camby's mighty roundhouse collected Van Gundy in the head.

    Van Gundy required 15 stitches.

Camby the Coach hitter eh? I wonder what sort of suspension the league will send his way for this little "incident"

Actually, if you watch it in slow-mo, Camby's head hit Van Gundy over the eye, resulting in the cut.

I love the Knicks! It seems every year, someone on their roster goes nuts and starts throwing blows.

The funny thing is, that would have been a total cheap shot, as Ferry had his back to Camby and the whole situation.

I just wish the Knicks had lost miserably.

on sportscenter this morning they said camby waited out in front of the lockerroom for ferry, and then he waited out another 20 minutes by the bus or something for ferry.
not sure if it was to apologize or to 'finish up'

It was definitely to finish up, 12 security cops had to pull Camby away from the bus. My goodness, you would think that Ferry took a shot at Camby's wife and kids! What's Camby's problem!?

He probably freaked out when he saw the blood in his eye and remembered Orlando Brown who hasn't played a down since that idiot ref threw the flag in his face.

I personally wish he would've connected, Ferry's action looked intentional.

WHAT? You wish he had connected on that sucker punch with Ferry's back turned to him? Man, that is weak.

Let them duke it out after the game, but a sucker punch is just plain cowardly.

So is intentionally elbowing someone in the face. That's just as bad in my opinion. The ass should have been expecting some sort of retaliation.

Plus, Ferry's pansy ass had to have security guards escort him to the bus, so that course of action wouldn't have worked either.

I don't like either player and never have. But the elbowing going one should have been settled by the refs. Those thigs happen frequently out there. I am not condoning what Ferry did, but in no way did that warrant a huge round-house sucker punch to be thrown.

Camby should have taken the high road and been the bigger man by letting the refs handle it, instead of being a coward. If you are going to call yourself a man, and tout your wares as a representative of the NBA, then act like it.
