So instead of 33-year-old CP3, we could have 34-year-old Marc Gasol????

I think the Grizz won this trade. The Grizz got Valanciunas, wright, Miles, and a 2nd round pick for Gasol.

Toronto was never going to let Jonas be the player he can be. It was not in Masai Ujiri DNA to have a traditional center on the team. So, yeah, this kid looks like he might be a monster on this team.

i also think the Grizz won this trade, but man that Dorsey kid is putting some nice numbers. Haven't watched him play but i keep seeing his stats, is he a good enough to be starter or is he just putting up numbers on a bad team? seems like couple of other players are producing as well!

Marc Gasol is even more a traditional center so dunno why tf Masaj made that trade. I thought JV was too injured to play but he has been putting work for the grizz.

Traditional, would mean (in my context) stuck in the low post. A rebounder and put-back guy.

Not sure what your definition is, but Marc is none of those things. He is a versatile player who can hit 3s, play defense and prefers a pass to a shot. You can run the offense through him.

Rebounder and putback are more traditional PFs role like Dennis Rodman or Barkley, traditional big men score in the post via post moves like Shaq or Cousins. Gasol can hit 3s but he is also adept at scoring in the low post like his older bro. The fact that Gasol is so versatile means he should be a good offensive option because he can pass and do so many other things.

A center who just rim runs and get put backs is more of a recent development because in the old days these big men would be taught post moves instead.
