I don't know how this video was found but I remember always hearing about this story growing up a Rockets fan in the 90s. Amazing how the guys just come back to the bench like nothing happened. Epic stuff for old school Rockets fans

Mad Max is still loved by old time Rockets fans despite all his faults.
You will be hard pressed to find the old timers criticizing him.

It was his energy and passion that gave the the early 90s team heart.
It was his defense and determination that helped push the team to win its (Houston's) first championship.

I still have fond memories of watching Mad Max play.

    One last thing-
It was Max's defense on Jordan that allows Rockets fans to say with a straight face that we could have beat Jordan and the Bulls for the Championship had we faced them in the finals.

I was confused and heartbroken after that game.

Then Dream and Clyde dropped 40 each in game four while breaking the jazz's double digit 4th quarter lead.

Every now and then, I kept thinking.. so he really isn't coming back??

How nobody grabbed Max on the way up to the stairs tells you guys on the team were fed up with him. I personally think Max lied in the post-game interview that the man said something about his stillborn daughter I believe, but seems like Max was just having a bad game and this guy just messed with him.

I think they let Max be Max
Like the Pacers let Ron be Ron

    No Rockets fans were harmed

The correlation between the rap music and how physical the Nba was is true

Today’s rap music represents the no hand checking players not really hating each other

I mean what do you think PAC would think of Drake ?

Im not sure how I feel about being labeled an old timer. Im gonna go sit down, drink some Ensure and think about it.

Also, Mad Max had heart....and he had a sparkly purple Porsche...I saw it at training camp in ‘94 in Galveston. Thats why this old timer is a fan.
