TMAC and Yao are one of the the best duos I've seen for long long time. Tonight's performance (TMAC 39, almost triple double, Yao 34 and 9rbs) from the two is just unbelievable. If both keep healthy, Rockets should be able to achieve something very BIG before they retire. Thank you CD to draft YAO, and thank you CD to bring TMAC to this team.

Not trying to be pessimistic at such a happy time, but it actually troubles me that they had such an incredible game and yet the game was so close. Are they going to have to put 75+ point performances between the two for the Rockets to go deep in the playoffs?

Even though the suns lost, it wasn't like they played poorly. Phx shot a higher percentage, and look at their players that came off their bench, Barbosa, and Diaw, both of them would start on 95% of NBA teams. Well, more like 99% of the teams. Look at our own team, our bench does not even come close to Phx. I not taking anything away from what our bench did today. Juwon came up big with those OFF REBS, and Head hit some big 3s, but seriously they don't have as big of an impact compared to Barbosa. So overall, we played incredible, but so did the Suns. It's not like the Suns mailed it in too, all their starters played around 30 some mins, and they were in all the way until the end of the game.

True, different groups of Rockets fans wanted both Yao and McGrady traded at certain points for KG.

Right now I wouldn't trade either for KG. I might consider McGrady because of the back (which is OK for now, knock on wood it'd better stay that way), but he just fits so well with Yao, while KG probably wouldn't.

After this game, I can really see the New ''OK'' coming to Rockets. Just take a look at the #s from our Duo. Man, how can you find someone like what they produced in the L nowadays. Unbelievable, just unbelievable.

Also if I did not count it wrong, I think TMAC got 7 assists directly to Yao. Man... obviously I will suck my earlier thread posted ''Our Duo splitting''...

And the role players play good tonight. Remember two years ago, in the 7th game vs Mavs, no one came out to help the Duo.
Always remember, it takes five, not only two, baby ;)

    Absolutely!
Yao and T-Mac may play very well or sometimes not very well, but even they are not in good condition, their performance would be OK, then the role players should step up and support them like they did in last 2 games.
It takes five, it takes 8 or 9.

It's the first time I've ever seen:

"Rockets Player of the game: T-Mac & Yao"

    Bravo!

in the last 5 wins in a row:

Yao scored 140 points, 28 ppg
    T-Mac got 163 points, 32.5 ppg

    MM combined: 60.5 ppg !

    :D :D :D

Mac played so aggressively recently and just like he said, he put his will on the game and i am really proud of him.

This was a PLAYOFF INTENSITY GAME and was perfect for momentum going into the playoffs. the fact that Phoenix wanted it and kept their boys in a game the Rockets won should bring a lot of confidence to the boys in red.

Remember our last playoff series against Dallas, T-Mac and Yao were running one hell of a pick and roll themselves and seemed to generate a lot of offense out of it.

I saw some of that again tonight.

Also, Battier was huge tonight as well hitting big 3 after big 3.
