This is great. Hopefully it'll give him some good experience and a shot of confidence. It doesn't hurt that it'll increase his trade value, either ...
We would gladly trade Luther plus a first rounder for any of the other players on the list. Puzzling.
Really? I'll be the first to admit I didn't get to watch much basketball last season but I didn't notice Stuckey putting up any eye popping stats either. Is he really that good?
We all need head every once in a while... Its funny how easily people forget the big games he put up. I still remember that over time loss @ denver where it seemed impossible to win w.o tmac. Luther hit the 2 key late treys to send us into the overtimes. He has avgd 20+ a number of times and 30 like once or twice. He was more well rounded his rookie yr but then he started focussing too much on the 3. Prove em wrong luther!!!
we bash Luther just because of his playoff performances...but lets think about his reg season games for a while...they are legit games for a backup SG.
What is yall's problem? Yeah, Luther had an awful postseason, but anyone who's seen more than the playoffs should know that he can play basketball. Jeez, every year the whole board convinces itself that there's someone on the Rockets who is magically the cause of all our problems.
To be honest this completely makes sense The international game is based around many shooters on the perimeter due to the zone defence, trapezoidal lane and no 3 second on defence rule. The practice team selected as mention before has no 3 point threat other then Luther who out of the last three classes the only rookie who shoots lights out from outside other then Boobie Gibson. Gibson however has shocking team defence which is something that Luther excels is and more importantly mimics international competition where they rarely go man and go into a zone d where switching is important. His useful for practice from the team USA point of view
I agree. Luther has been one of my biggest disappointments the last couple of seasons. I really expected him to improve a great deal after his showing the first couple of seasons, but except for some good games here and there, it's almost like he went backwards. I don't know what his problem is, but he could be one of those players that just needs a fresh start. If this gets him more notice and a trade to a team that can make better use of the talents he has, then so much the better.
No joke, if this was my biography written by the users on clutchfans, i'd want to commit suicide myself
