This is a 4th Q promotion. Cool idea to try to encourage fans to distract opposing shooter, I suppose. But kinda unfair for Chick-fil-A when Capela plays.

Hell, Toyota Center fans should get a free chicken sandwich if Capela makes both in the 4Q.

    "one more for chicken"

LOL....what kind of promotion is this? I have never heard of one for a particular playing doing anything.

I remember watching Atlanta games with Dwight at the line and opposing broadcast crews bringing it up.

It isn't for just Capela. Obviously, that would be very bad odds for Chick-fil-A.

It's to encourage cheering loud in the 4th Q is all. For all trips to the line. Not sure how often the fans win, but this article shows vids of two...including Dwight.

    Haha. How does this work?

Rockets should have a 1st quarter chicken sandwich promotion. We could finally have more than 5k fans before TIP off.

    Haha .

I was at the game tonight in a barely half full Verizon Center.

The anticipation was PALPABLE. Literally the only time the arena got loud was during clint's 2 fts.

I mean it was thunderous, vis-a-vis the remainder of the game which is mostly visiting fans like me.

With a FT to win the game, imagine what Raymond Felton would do in this situation

Sadly you've got to laugh at this. Great idea by the Wizards to get the crowd going. Bad for Chick-fil-A in terms of free giveaway almost a guarantee.
But seriously in terms of CP's free throws - what is he for the season now? He has regressed further from last season. So much for all the free throw shooting in the off season. Get him with Onuaku and getting him shooting them underarm.

Rockets used to have something similar a few years back if they held opponents to under 70% free throw shooting. I think the prize was a free jumbo jack or 2 tacos. Not sure.

The funny thing is how they immediately reacted when they saw him going to the line. It was basically a "Oh...this guy..."

Why doesn't the team force Capela to start shooting underhand FTs?

I'm telling you it was crazy how the place went from a mausoleum to a madhouse as soon as Capela missed that first FT.

I was there with my preschooler and he was like "DADDY WHAT'S HAPPENING!"

He needs to swallow his pride like Chinanu Onuanuanouku and shoot underhand FT's

Maybe these two fan cams provide a better shot of how loud it gets, Dwight and Javale from 2014
