lulz -- JVG rants no way a fine org like TOR will fire Brother Casey

    I'm rewatching GSW games and caught this rant. Right on cue with the Isle of Van Gundys Game Of Zones episode.

    One day after the GoZ Ep 5 was released, in Game 4 GSW v NOLA, Brother Jeff already started a Van Gundian Monk Rant to defend Brother Casey in his time of need.

    The one area where JVG has zero cred is commenting on coaches. He is so biased in favor of them it's silly.

    If he commented as harshly on coaches as he did on players and refs, JVG would be a superstar. But that weakness diminishes him.

    It's not the first time a coach has been fired after having a successful season but it would be the first time I ever heard a coach or ex-coach bad mouth another coach. Have you ever heard a coach say about a peer, he was losing he deserved to be fired. Casey had a great run and made a lot of money, nobody should feel sorry for him.

    It goes to show how bad Voters are for awards. The Voters look really dumb. Mike DAntoni deserved that award.
    Number 1 Record in all of the NBA, over the Warriors. Nobody in the offseason thought that was possible. And I expected the 2nd best Record in the West. Mike DAntoni and Jeff Bzdelik both deserve Award for best Offensive Coach, Defensive Coach

    how unfortunate. I would think JVG would be able to see schitte and call it as it is. but then again, him as coach wasn't necessarily the best time of rockets history either (injuries aside).
