I'm not saying Tony Brothers should have called this in a "who cares, game over" part of the game -- Curry, Thompson and Green have stopped playing.

Just, why did Livingston care to set a moving screen here? Because he can't help himself. It's become instinct from trained behavior.

Weird that the dubs were the team getting tons of technicals and beefing with the refs this year considering they benefit from referees more than any team.

I was hoping the refs would hold a grudge but i guess not.

This was nothing compared to the Bell and Looney screens in G7

I have no problem with teams setting illegal screens. It's up to the NBA to enforce the rules. And that one was weak, it's a no-call anyways.

Yeah, and they had a reason to try, too. What's Livingston's reason?

None. He's setting this illegal screen out of pure instinct / muscle memory. :D He can't help himself, even when half the team has literally stopped playing.

Refs don't call it. Dubs will keep doing it. It's a natural instinct - but that ain't basketball. It's like watching an offensive lineman go to work.

This just shows you Kerr is a great coach. All his players are trained to automatically execute his system without even having to think about it. ;)

What are the refs going to do? Call every moving screen on every warrior? They want the stars to be playing, not sitting on the bench. Like KG said, they might call it once or twice, but after that...

it just amazes me how it's so common in the NBA now, especially after the whole Yao debacle where he had to be a complete statue or he got called for a moving screen.

The most egregious offensive foul calls were against Yao in the 2005 series vs the Mavs after we had gone up 2-0. Generally, the NBA makes calls that increase the closeness of playoff games and playoff series.

Ya that 2015 season they let the Warriors start setting tons of moving screens. At least they let all teams do it now and not just them. I remember being livid at the refs calling every moving screen and touch foul on Dwight while Bogut was out there playin left tackle.

Exactly, when the NBA says “we’re gonna emphasize this or that” it doesn’t mean for the league they have a individual player in mind.

Almost every screen can be called moving screen if you want to strictly call as the rule books defines. The worst is the defense away from the ball, you are literally allowed to grab, hold, and wrestler your man to prevent him from getting open, and it rarely get called.
