    Luis Scola, Houston Rockets

Several PFs not on this list fill up a boxscore more than Scola -- we're thinking of you, Zach Randolph -- but few have his intangibles. He's tough. He never misses a game. He sets great screens. He doesn't take bad shots. He dives after loose balls. He annoys opponents with his elbows and distracts them with his hair. He also averaged a none-too-shabby 16.2 points and 8.6 rebounds last season, numbers that may go down with Yao Ming's return. Still, we think he's underrated. Our goal is to keep talking him up until he becomes overrated.

Let's hope that he can at least hit the rim with one of his shots tonight.

    Joking!

It has been a real pleasure to have Luis on the team!

good to see Luis getting some credit for how hard he works and how much he has improved since coming into the league. in my opinion, he was moreys best pickup and one of the most important players on the team this year..

Gasol is not the best PF in the game. That annoys me to no end. I go with Nowitzki. And would not put Gasol ahead of Duncan just yet, but wouldn't argue with anyone about it. During the finals, didn't they even call him the best Big Man in the game, completely ignoring Dwight Howard would make him cry in a one-on-one.

Also, Boozer is not a top 10 for about two more months.

I agree with Dirk being better than Gasol. But Pau would dominate Dwight...

gasol affects the game with his defense, as evident by his playoff performance last year. the guy defended the paint beautifully. without him, the lakers would lose in the first round last year with kobe struggling like he did.

yep, and it looks like they might move me again ... to San Fran. I just keep getting further away.

btw: if you like to ski, check your Rockets schedule...New Years weekend skiing ending with a Monday game in Denver, for Melo's first game back to play against his old team at home. haha
