Was this the Best NBA draft ever? , I was just thinking , al least 4 people on this list played for the Rockets

    1. Houston: Akeem Olajuwon (Houston)
Still would have taken him over Jordan
    2. Portland: Sam Bowie (Kentucky)
Back when the Center position meant something
    3. Chicago: Michael Jordan (UNC)
The Greatest player of all time .
    4. Dallas: Sam Perkins (UNC)
    This guy still plays??
    5. Philadelphia: Charles Barkley (Auburn)
    The Rebounding Midget hater
    6. Cleveland: Melvin Turpin (Kentucky)
    who?
    7. San Antonio: Alvin Robertson (Arkansas)
The original "choker" , Did have a Quadruple-Double once
    8. LA Clippers: Lancaster Gordon
    (Louisville)
    who?
    9. Kansas City: Otis Thorpe (Providence
Vital part of one championship , non-factor with every team since .
    10. Philadelphia: Leon Wood (Cal-State
    Fullerton) Now an NBA referee
    11. Atlanta: Kevin Willis (Michigan State)
    Still going strong
    12. Seattle: Tim McCormick (Michigan)
    13. Phoenix: Jay Humphries (Colorado)
    14. LA Clippers: Michael Cage (San Diego State)
    15. Dallas: Terrance Stansbury (Temple)
    16. Utah: John Stockton (Gonzaga)
Was this a steal or what
    17. New Jersey: Jeff Turner (Vanderbilt)
    18. Indiana: Vern Fleming (Georgia)
Played 1000 games for the Pacers
    19. Portland: Bernard Thompson (Fresno State)

Believe it or not, the guy who picked Lancaster Gordon over Stockton, Thorpe, Willis, Cage et al. (and picked Benoit Benjamin over Karl Malone and Chris Mullin the following year) is still an NBA general manager ... Pete Babcock, now with the Atlanta Hawks.

Note: It was my cowhead. I started the cowhead craze, and my cowhead inspired Mooch to step up and bring us a victory. Thank you for your time. :D

Don't forget Jerome Kersey (#46). Was great for Portland for more than a decade, and still in the league.

Also, Carl Lewis (#212) was selected by the Bulls. He went on to a pretty successful career, in another field.
