very doubtful. With the way this game turned out, I wouldn't be surprised if we got our asses kicked in college station as well. We have absolutely no answer for Tristan Thompson. And even if Hamilton doesn't go on phauking god mode, I still see us losing to Texas. David Lobeau is a poor excuse for a post defender. btw, hope the Thompson kid is OK, he's an absolute baller.
I had completely forgotten about this game. What happened to Thompson? Reid Arena is always a tough place to play. Maybe it's the crowd. Maybe it's the ugliest court in basketball. Whatever it is, it's always difficult for UT to go in there and get a win. I expect another very good Big Monday game...and another UT win.
He was shaken up after a play, but we got an update that it was just a cramp. Glad he's OK, this guy has a very bright future, I'm talking Lamarcus Aldridge bright. If the horns shoot as good as they did today, expect another lopsided ass whippin.
I think the Horns will take you guys lightly in CS and the Aggies will win. It's happened in the past and Bob Knight eluded to it towards the end of this game... it might be big advantage for TAMU preparation-wise. Good luck against Kansas State.
The Horns just hit Murderer's Row: Jan 22: @ #2 Kansas (18-0) Jan 26: @ Ok. State (14-4) Jan 29: vs. #14 Mizzou (16-3) Jan 31: @ #10 TAMU (16-2) A win over undefeated KU at Fogg would play a MAJOR role during NCAA tournament seeding. The Horns are on pace for a #3 seed, but Texas has the opportunity to position itself for a #1 seed if it can close out January with 4 consecutive wins.
I completely disagree with this statement. I absolutely love the Aggies court, I am envious of the way their students wear all white and jump/make noise through the entire game too. (unlike the boring folk at Texas home games). Great win last night. I was out last night and missed it and forgot to DVR.
LonghornFan, you can watch the replay here: http://espn.go.com/espn3/player?id=118511&league=NCAAM&size=condensed
I hope Thompson, Joseph and Hamilton will stick around a little while. This team could be NC good if they do. It seems that the horns have had so much talent there but guys leave and ruin what appears like a very bright Longhorn basketball future. I guess thats the case a lot of places though.
It's not murderer's row since the Longhorns are very capable of winning ALL four of those games. You make it sound like the Longhorns are the Rockets, which they are not. Hook'em.
Quick start by KU. Morris Bros. going hard in the paint, and double teaming Thompson. Morningstar cannot check Jordan Hamilton... Texas needs to pound the ball in to J-Ham. He has 3-4 inch/15-20 pound advantage.
The offensive and defensive game plan was flawed...in every way. They will go out there in the next game with a totally different game plan. Also, who knows whether they will shoot 58% for the game. That is an insane percentage.
