It would not surprise me at all if she were nominated. I think you are underestimating how far the to the left they have moved. Personally I hope she does win the nomination because she would have no chance in the general election.

This talking point just simply is not accurate and is repeated nonstop by the MSM as well.

The truth is Biden has consistently polled 5 to 10 points higher in the national average since he got in the race and has even gained ground in recent weeks.

Progressive candidates in the Dem party are nothing new. Their current policy positions are more moderate than FDR and LBJ. This is the same party who also nominated Jimmy Carter. This idea that there has been some radical shift is nonsense. Bernie has been around for decades, and has been the only real progressive to make it close to the nomination since Carter. The only real policy positions that have changed are around climate change which is understandable. Medicare was designed from the the beginning to eventually scale to all Americans.

So I just fully reject this premise. The party is much more moderate as a whole now which is why someone like Biden consistently polls higher than someone like Warren or Bernie.

Also if Warren wins Iowa, then NH, she can have a real shot at winning, but as of now, she is not the front runner just as Bernie was never the front runner in 2016 even though he got one segment of the party very fired up because that base of the party is always fired up for progressive policy positions and has been for decades.
