Cuban should just go with the flow and cash in on the little cow, Chinese finger puppet phenomenon.

Anyone wanna put the faces of the starting five on this and Cubans face on big baby cow.

Just call them the Chinese word for "Cowboys" if there is such thing. It's not like the Chinese watch NFL.

pretty sure it would go something like:

cowboys... cow boys... boy cows...young cows... little cows!

These guys strike a fear in me. It's like I'm afraid there won't be enough meat to go around.

Ian: The Lone Rangers? That's original. How can you pluralize "The Lone Ranger"?
Ian: Well, there's three of you. You're not exactly lone. Shouldn't you be the Three Rangers?

Upon investigating further, this pretty much is the first definition of the word. I'm going to guess that China media is just using a bad translator that puts that definition first.

    from dictionary.com.

Word Origin and History for maverick
    n.
1867, "calf or yearling found without an owner's brand," so called for Samuel A. Maverick (1803-1870), Texas cattle owner who was negligent in branding his calves. Sense of "individualist, unconventional person" is first recorded 1886, via notion of "masterless."

I rarely say this but this is a genius marketing idea from cuban to get more viewers from china to watch his team.

I was not aware of this. Henceforth I will never refer to this team as anything but "The Little Cows". It's adorable, sure; but, more importantly, Mark Cuban apparently hates it.

Considering in English we call the middle kingdom "China" and estado unitos "American" , can we just let it stand?

I'm used to "little cows", it's not like those other names aren't corny either?

I guess this is the **** you worry about when your team is bringing up the rear in the standings.
