Did I hear that right?? They were debating if TJ deserves a chance to start or not. I just heard the tail end of this. Someone confirm for me. I don't know what the deal with Case is.

Case hurt a ligament in his hand vs Colts. Thus Schaub starts.

Ben Tate put on IR too for his ribs injury.

I think an injured Case gives us a better chance to lose.

Case = injured thumb on throwing hand

    TJ = back problems

TJ didn't sound like he was injured on the soundbite I heard from him this morning. Sounded pretty surprised and pissed he wasn't even considered, actually. I don't blame him.

Say what you want about the guy, but he won (arguably) the biggest game in franchise history with a game-clinching TD pass on the road. Then went on to win the first ever playoff game the next week.

I think he deserves a start. He hasn't really gotten a fair shake this year IMO.

And before you say he sucks...so do Keenum and Schaub. So what not give him a shot?

Yes, I mistakenly left that bullet point off of my presentation. Yet another reason to start TJ.

Let's just roll out Brandon Brooks at QB. Would be very entertaining.

It seems dumb to put Schaub out there--we already know he is getting cut.

Why not put Yates out there to see if he has what it takes to be our future backup?

First it was Case to save the day and now it's Yates...

I think Yates proved what he has, or doesn't have, when he lost the job to Case (in the Rams game)

Case got half a season to prove he blows. TJ can't even get one full game?

Not saying he's going to save the season (obviously). Just saying....why not? What good is starting Schaub?

Schaub is better than TJ, and Wade is coaching to win games and get a job. I can't fault him for that.

Playing Schaub seemed to hasten Kubiak's departure out of town. Not sure if Wade is hip to that, but having an injury to use as a reason maybe buys him some cover.

As much as McNair said he wants to win the remaining games, it really can't be about finishing strong at this point, can it?

It's all odd. McNair seemingly wanted to win games, but he also wanted Case to play even though the offense wasn't as stagnant when Schaub played. He indicated playing Schaub instead of sticking with Case was a reason Kubiak was fired when he was. Now Wade comes in and Bob only gets one full game of Case (when he probably should've been pulled against Indy if we were trying to win) before Schaub is back as the starter.

Playing Schaub over Case seemed to hasten his departure. I doubt McNair is worried about finding out about TJ's upside.
