http://sports.walla.co.il/?w=/151/1491577 http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=en# Lior Eliyhu who the Rockets hold draft rights over is headed to Luis Scola's former team TAU Ceramica. That would be US$1.26M/yr according to XE.com.
Good, he's going to continue to develop on one of the top teams in europe. We'll see where he's at in 4 years, he'll still be only 25ish then iirc.
Remember though that the European contracts are listed in net terms. So for the NBA equivalent that amount can be doubled.
Some don't even consider them playing the same position. It's like saying Yi is going to be a Yao clone...
about lior is playing in the IBL for now since im from israel i can say that he is just not strong enough and is falling between 3-4 body size of rashard lewis he lost his 3 point shooting 3 years ago and it was something he was suposed to develop though he have some strong and fast post moves oh and btw he is a horrible defender
Lior wasn't coming over here anytime soon. I agree that playing with Tau Ceramica, after playing last year with Macabbi Tel Aviv, will continue his development against top-notch competition. If he plays well, he could potentially be yet another valuable trade asset for the Rockets. Like Daryl Morey says, his objective is to accumulate as many trade assets as possible.
This probably explains why Daryl Morey didn't list him as an option really for the summer league team.
is there a link to who Morey listed as possible/probables already for the Rockets SL team (at least among the prospects the Rockets own the rights to?)
I don't have a link, but I heard Morey say on the radio that Maarty Leunen and Brad Newley would be playing in the summer league.
I don't understand our fascination and constant obsession with this guy, he doesn't have a single aspect that screams "I have NBA potential!" .. I've seen him play several times, wasn't impressed in the least with his overall "skills".. his body isn't NBA-type and I don't see it becoming an NBA body even with countless hours at the gym.. can we let this guy go already?

My video here still has relevance at least this 1 possible last go 'round.... It was a fun 2 years, thanks Lior
