Griffin won't be playing much 3 this year...Mostly 4 and 5...and I think KT will only start for about at the most the first half of the season.

RR, all of your lineups are viable possibilities, but I think each one of them exposes the major problem that the Rockets will experience this year. While they will be able to exploit their superior offensive skills, each lineup that Rudy will tinker with will have major holes defensively. We can only hope that our "Fish That Saved Pittsburgh"-ish centers can somehow play the season of their lives and help propel us to the playoffs. It's probably a pipedream...

    BB,

I know I am one of the Ned Flanders of this board, but It would take a collapse for the rockets not to make the playoffs this year.

Phoenix is in the process of retooling.
    Minnesota isn't much stronger.
    Seattle....too old too immature.

Cato will be a decent goalkeeper this year if he stays healthy.

The lineup I want to see is the
    Jackson Griffin Mobley Francis Moochie

    Incredibly fast.
    GOOD REBOUNDING.
Should be able to deny penetration.
Two and a half point guards.
    Vast Scoring potential.
    Great team defense potential.

Rice and Morris would replace Moochie and Mobley to create a big quick lineup.

I would take a lineup of:

    Jackson-C
    Griffin-PF
    Rice-SF
    Mobley-SG
    Francis-PG

Quick prediction...Griffin leads the team in blocks

This would be your run-and-gun lineup, but I think replacing Moochie with Rice might make the lineup a bit more potent. I'm sure we'll spend the first month of the season getting frustrate because of the amount of injuries and the number of different lineups that Rudy actually tries out. Hopefully, during that stretch, the Rockets will be able to maintain a .500 or above record. We'll see...

The best offensive lineup by far would be Jackson,Griffin,Rice, Duh, and Duh.

No way that Marc Jackson, a guy that averaged 18 ppg and 10 rpg as a starter comes off the bench behind KT and Cato. I like the Jackson/Cato starting lineup. That gives the Rockets size, rebounding, and shot-blocking.

Rudy, because of Cato's fragility, will start Cato at the 5. He will also start Thomas simply because it is his style. None of our front court people are superstars so I expect the rotation to be long. This is my projected rotation and minute allocations:

    Cato 21
    Thomas 21
    Rice 28
    Francis 33
    Mobley 33
    Jackson 24
    Griffin 24
    Langhi 15
    Moochie 15
    Williams 10
    Collier 6
    Morris 10

    Torres
    Jones

I wouldn't mind seeing griffin at the 3 against minn, seattle, and SA, maybe even LA, but when we play the slashers of the east, he can't hang.
