Francis bomb rekindles faith to win in OT

The Heat knew what the Rockets would run, and Miami coach Pat Riley said assistant Stan Van Gundy diagrammed it perfectly. Riley did not, however, consider fouling before Francis got the ball.
Instead, Francis set a screen for Yao Ming. Rice then set a pick for Francis, who sped behind Yao, took a pass and, with two dribbles, let fly.
"We had the play," Riley said. "We diagrammed it. So we had it, but we just didn't go hard enough on it. We were supposed to switch the initial screen, but we didn't. Even though Brian (Grant) was on him, he just made a great shot."
For a moment, Francis actually looked for the play's next option, a pass to Cuttino Mobley, who led the Rockets with 27 points. Francis took two dribbles before hitting his first trey of the night.
"Not only do I think we understand this play very well, but we've used it several times, I think other teams might as well," said Yao, wearing the "Ming Dynasty" pants Francis had made for him. "Maybe we should change it around, and next I should shoot the 3."

Francis gave Ming pants? I must be a visionary.
