4 minutes into the 3rd quarter Bickerstaff benched all 5 starters. Shortly later harden ariza come back in. Capella gets his5th foul with about 5-6 minutes left and jb plays all wings. He continues with 5 wing players the entire quarter. I was obbiously skeptical of what was transpiring. Was it a shot at Dwight? And honestly i was watching him on the bench and he seemed quite a bit upset getting passed over on substitutions. But that doesn't explain dmo or jones. And i was liking what i was seeing fronting and immediately double teaming cuzins. We went on a little run towards the end of it. Was it a strategic decision or a message sending decision? I know the initial benching of all starters was message sending, but is there more to it benching all frontcourt players the rest of the 3rd?
Yeah I think he did it to send a message, but he should have just benched harden because he was the one that needed the message . Dmo , bev and Dwight and Ariza were all playing fine.
Idk after the benching harden appeared to be hustling a lot to me. Dwight so far in the fourth not so much. Edit: here in the 4th its obvious harden is putting in full effort and to me dwight just looks lackadaisical out there and fruatrated instead of determined.
Experiment is one thing. But he played it for 8 minutes. Ariza at the 4 is different then Ariza at the 5. Even more So ariza at the 5 against koufis is extremely different then ariza at the 5 against boogie
It was probably the dumbest thing I've seen watching this team for 11 years. Ariza on Cousins? Lawson only gets 2 minutes then gets hanked for the rest of the game? Brewer getting all the minutes? Thornton getting no time then gets hanked when he can't make a shot? JB is over his head. Our next coach better bring structure on offense and demand discipline on defense.
Our rotation drastically changes every game, that's when you know you suck. DMo starting and playing just 14 min?
That was bad coaching.. Harden should have been benched.. But yet the other guys were benched for his bad play... Thornton on the bench for basically the entire game... Just smh... T_Man
Then why start him and play him like 4 min spurts? Why not start Capela which was working surprisingly well?
the ariza at the 5 lineup was actually working. god forbid we ever see that again this season....but in this game, i was disappointed to see dwight back in and harden out to start the 4th. we lost the game right there...with brewer giving up 3's to belinelli and dwight coming up empty on b2b possessions (and brewer blowing the layup too). that closed the door on us.
See Thats how i felt. I thought fronting cousin's and doubling as soon as he got him Was working Well. Also we were running and gettin turnovers. The spacing was there. I really didnt like Dwight performance tonight he visibly looked upset in the 4th to me. Jbb had a pretty interesting news conference after the game also.
That micro lineup cut Sacramento's lead considerably. Ariza at the 5 did a better job on Cousins in that stretch than Dwight. Dwight came in in the 4th and got lit up by Koufus.
Man what are we talking about? Practice? The Kings with The Little Collison and Lesser Curry running the point? We need Omri Casspi? Stauskas? Nik rocks? That's when you know your team is bad, when you're trying to evaluate your team against the bottom of the barrel.
