    Maybe Morey will be allowed to tank now. He had been saying for years that he wasn't allowed to tank. That "Mr. Alexander" wanted a competitive team always. In the NBA, it makes sense to be great or terrible. Morey might finally get to do both.

    Yep, according to multiple sources, TNT would love to have Les's laughter as background effect for every NBA broadcast.

    Les Alexander was never a believer in tanking and Morey had to design a way to build a team without the benefits of tanking.

    Bill Worrell on Rockets owner Les Alexander: "I've worked for every owner in Houston, and Les is the best. Sid Gillman once told me the best owner was a guy who wanted to make money, but not so much money that he wasn't putting the best team on the field of play.

    "An owner is a custodian. We provide the arena, and we depend on the owner to put out the best team. You could always count on Les to do that."

    As a broadcaster, Worrell said, "Never once in 24 years did (Alexander) tell me 'don't say something.' He said, 'Be yourself on the air, and if somebody is not playing well, that's fine, because I may be thinking the same thing.

    "Les never liked the heat, but he liked the people of Houston. He grew to love Houston, and as a native Houstonian, that's all I can ask for."    ​

    Not sure if it's been said. But it would be interesting if this team was bought in 93 to win two immediate championships and now again it's bought right before winning.. We upset GS this year after getting Melo, then get Lebron and easily win it. LOL don't tag this tho.

    I've ranted about wanting Leslie Alexander to sell the team but I didn't really mean it. And yes there is a tear in my eye when I found out he is. I'm kind of distraught over the situation. How many of y'all took Leslie Alexander for granted? I think the Rockets might be turmoil with a new owner coming in because most suck.

    The scariest ones are spoiled people who never worked and inherited their teams. Dont think they know how to compete as well as self made men do.

    Scott duncan is a nightmare. Only in his 30s and an inheritance kid. If he buys the team then rockets fans might have to put up with him for 40-60 years.
