D'Antoni and his system isn't the new fangled trend it once was. Everyone does it now, to some extent.

James Harden is a really good individual talent. He ain't a 2 time MVP 40-50-90 guy though...

Shawn Marion in his prime is better than all the wing players we have combined.

Who is he athletic big who can dominate the paint like Stoudemire did?

It's one thing to have a model and say that's how you want to play. It's another when you don't have any of those pieces....call me what you will, hire a defensive co. Whatever....i haven't been this low on the rockets since the Steve Francis days.

No, they're too cool to repeat themselves because someone decided to create a thread about something that's already been beaten to death for 2 days.

We hope to build a poor man's Suns...

Capela as our poor mans Amare
Batum as our poor mans Marion
    Dudley as our QRich
    Ariza as our Raja Bell
Harden as our super saiyan Joe Johnson
JLin as our poor man's Steve Nash if Steve Nash pulled a richshaw for a living.

I feel the same way. Actually, I probably feel lower about the Rockets now than I did then.

I'm still a fan. I'm still pulling for the Rockets to win and be successful. I would love to be proven wrong and for the Rockets to win a championship led by any coach, even D'Antoni. I just don't see how that could happen with this washed up coach that we just hired.

Why does everyone think that the offense has to work the exact same way as it did with those Suns teams and each player has to exactly emulate Nash, Marion, Stoudemire, etc?

    I mean, use your brains.

The key thing is the Rockets have learnt to not cut hard and play off the ball over the last few years. We wait until Harden draws the defense before we try to get open, as opposed to try to get open all the time.

7 and a half. lots of times he takes that quick step past the line to avoid 8 second call.

then there's 10 seconds for everyone to try and remember what play to run

then the next 4 seconds they remember they have no plays

then 1 second left harden passes to ariza or bev

it actually works believe it or not. we did make the playoffs
