If they get Kawhi they're a contender. If not this year, then the next. If they don't get Kawhi they are a borderline playoff team. LeBron+role players may get you far in the East, but it barely gets you to the playoffs in the West.

Fun fact about Lebron, he's already played the 18th most minutes in NBA history and he just signed with a team that has no chance in winning anything. If he stays playing at the current level, in 2 more seasons he'll be top 5 all time. Every player ahead of him was a shell of their former selves by the time they hit 44k minutes which is what he just passed this year with the only 2 playing even slightly worth a damn at that point being Kareem and Karl Malone. I'm sure he'll keep playing at a high level forever though.
