Yes, so we can do it again. This team as currently built has a fighter's chance against GSW, but I wouldn't count on them being able to to consistently win 7-game series against what is probably the greatest NBA team ever assembled.

If we make the Finals, Lebron to Houston simpy will not happen. Either we just beat them or they just beat us and he's staying put.

This is all about legacy. Losing 3/4 years will be in his head. Cleveland is left with a title their city desperately needed and Lebron can move on to a team that not won a title (assuming that we lose to GS)..

Dropping down to the second seed and losing to SA in the second round is the nightmare situation that ends all Lebron to Houston talks.

The Rockets haven't even been to the finals in over two decades and fans are already talking about how adding a superstar is too much talent for us? Maybe after 5 straight championships will I start to at least entertain such a debate.

LeBron won't be going to San Antonio for the same reason Paul didn't go to San Antonio, and that is the uncertainty surrounding Popovich. Nobody knows when he'll retire.

would anyone in the east be interested in Ryno?

once Lebron moves to the west one of those eastern teams may just be a true stretch PF/floor spacer away from competing with Boston

And, ontop of what I already stated about Pop, he wouldn't join a team that he's played twice in the finals.

Since the day we signed Paul I knew it was evident that we're going after LeBron. Why else would Morey have gone so hard after Melo this offseason? He wants the Banana Boat!

In this instance I wouldn't view it as weak. Durant joined the team that beat him. If the Rockets win it all we are more then likely playing the Cavs in the finals so Lebron would be doing the same exact thing as Durant. The WCF would be deciding the champion next season that's for damn sure

If players want to play together, they will play together.

This isn’t Melo whete NYK had the cards. Cleveland doesn’t. If Lebron wants to play with CP3/Harden/Gordon then he will. That would be the strongest core of players on paper the league had ever seen.

I hope the Rockets win it all this year and then all this talk can go to bed. ;)

If we get Lebron, does that mean no more "We need a 3rd PG, dammit Maury" threads

    I'll miss those.

If that happened next year than the durant/steph superteam vs the lebron/harden/cp3 superteam would be almost as epic a matchup as @swyyyguy vs @tinman

If we do have a shot at Lebron, and by shot I mean for it to financially work (which no one has proven it could yet), then we will likely get him.

However, I'll also say this: also a possibility is Chris Paul leaving and playing with Lebron somewhere else. Harden better keep him very happy all year,

Wouldn't it make us hypocrites? We called Durant all kinds of names for joining a great team that beat him, and now LeBron would be the Durant of Houston.

that's totally different. GSW was already a champion with the same core roster and they added another MVP. We aren't a championship team yet.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that according to the “non homer, realist posters of clutchfans” James Harden is a narcissistic ass and that no star players want to come play 2nd or 3rd fiddle to his ball hogging, quitting ass.

So Cp3 likely leaving after this year and Lebron ain’t coming.

    Amirite?
