except that didn't happen. so you just admit he had been following him;. where he was shot was nowhere near close to his truck. so he got out and followed trayvon for a significant distance. he didn't stay in his truck and let the police handle it. his girlfriend was on the phone with him the night it happened said zimmerman confronted him.
yes he followed him, and? Following someone doesn't make sucker punching them, and then proceeding to pound them over and over while they're on the ground justified, no doing that makes them a criminal, but worse than that, it puts them in a situation where killing them in self defense is justified.
there is no proof he "sucker punched" him. there is proof that ziummerman followed him. trayvon was also in a position to defend himself against a guy who was following him who was not identified as police. i'm sure in his mind he thought a older man following him could have been a rapist or anything else.
