I’m a hooper,” Harden said. “I just want to hoop. I’ll rest when I’m done. I feel like my teammates and organization need me to go out there and do what I do. I get obviously paid for it, but it’s something I love. I enjoy the grind. I enjoy how hard it is. I think that makes you tougher. That makes you who you are.” Apparently this is a lazy statement for the insufferable people on Sportsnation. They pretty much crucified him for saying what he has been saying for 4 years as a Rocket. Harden was saying this before resting players became a thing. I thought it deserved it's own thread because it was kind of terrible courtesy of @cdrive on page 2 Some more fuel for the whiny and sensitive. What a gawd damn show!
One of the worst segments I've ever seen. I didn't think it was possible to turn that harmless quote into a negative. Not only turned it around but evicerated him for saying it. What a joke. They acted like Harden attacked other players for resting. He simply answered a question about himself. Didn't imply anything negative about any other player.
Is SportsNation the most anti-Harden platform that exists right now? Never heard a single positive comment about Harden from there
I expect that from Beadle, but even Marcellus, a Harden MVP supporter, was going in. Marcellus was the one who called it lazy!
When will stupid people saying stupid things stop being thread worthy? I mean, it's been 4 years for crying out loud.
Wait, I'm confused, how is that a lazy statement? The mental gymnastics that those fools had to go through in order to turn those comments by Harden into a negative statement will be interesting to hear.
I really want to know the true cause of Harden's universal dislike. Is this really all because of a viral defense video? I really hope we find out one day.
What did they say? I can't see anything wrong with what Harden said. That's what Kobe used to say. That's the mentality of all previous generations of NBA players.
the viral video about his defense, flopping, and hunting for freethrows that video is what really started the high hate levels tho...I felt that he was well liked in OKC and during his 1st season with the Rockets
I'll post the video when it gets uploaded online. I don't want @heypartner coming in and destroying my whiny, sensitive thread with his expert debunking skills, and basketball sense. A summary of the comments really won't do the forthcoming clip justice.. It was bad... really bad.
I think I'll take the word of Kareem and Byron Scott over Michelle Beadle. Tf does she know about basketball? How do some of these people even get these jobs?
it's a real thing! They turned a quote about not resting and a game winning layup into a negative.. it's damn difficult and and amazing!
