From the NBAtalk.com rumor page today. Of course we are going to see a ton of these rumors in the months to come. I am sure the Spurs would much rather take a package from Portland (especially if it includes Rasheed Wallace) than the Rockets any day of the week.

Trader Bob Wants Duncan in a Blazer Uniform

Trader Bob wants Duncan in Portland- According to Frank Hughes of ESPN Portland general manager Bob Whitsitt has the money, players and gumption to get Tim Duncan in a Blazer uniform. The story runs as part of ESPN's pay site, but it basically says that the Spurs may be forced into a sign and trade situation if Duncan decides to leave. And if so, who better than the Blazers to benefit seeing as how they are willing to overspend and could dangle players like Rasheed Wallace, Steve Smith and Jermain O'Neal in front of Popovich. "There is Francis backpedaling at full speed to guard Seattle All-Star Gary Payton on a fast break and then leaping as if off a springboard to make a spectacular fingertip block on what appeared to be a sure layup."
