The guy hasn't played in the NBA for like two years.

If he could come back like the birdman did for Miami, then yeah it's a no brainer.

Who knows what the chances are of that though? It's worth a look regardless.

James Harden would make Larry Sanders comeback player of the year.

Sanders was a boarderline defensive player of the year. Royce White is a never was. A focused Sanders would be our best big, by far. Worth a shot.

I see absolutely no reason the Rockets shouldn't at least give him a work out. Sure, he's a bit of an odd duck. But he has all the talent in the world so if the price is right...

Oh you mean as opposed to other NBA players? lol

What's different about him is that he realized he doesn't mind forfeiting a couple of years of money. Most likely he's lost more than that since teams are probably only going to give him contracts that protect them from the risk of him walking again.

If it's for the minimum, let's do it. With Capela/Harrell/Nene already on board, he has plenty of time to get into shape. There's no doubt he can at worst give us 10-15 minutes breathing room with competent minutes. He would be our defensive Nene.

Can't see him becoming a full on NBA starter again, but who knows I guess. Life changes people, and as @Haymitch said everyone is looking for more money so maybe he is committed to re-starting a good 5-6 year career.

    Who cares?

Can he still play? If so, put him in.

You know if Corey Brewer was not on this team, people would be saying we should acquire him while his price is low because this offense and Harden would make him look so good, his transition and slashing game would look so good, and that his 3pt% would actually improve in this offense.

    You know it's true.

He'll probably only play where weed is legal...the guy hasn't even played near a full season since 2012-2013. But, as insurance big especially if Capela is to be included in a trade for another all star, I'd be interested. Same with Houston's own Emeka Okafor who said he was recovered from his injury like last year before deciding to wait just to be sure. "During the 2015–16 season, he reportedly spoke with Cleveland, Miami and Golden State before deciding to delay his return until sometime in 2017."

Hell, I'd take both Sanders and Okafor as insurance bigs.
