    Rockets Set 2000-2001 Roster

HOUSTON, Oct. 30 — The Houston Rockets have set their roster for the 2000-2001 NBA season, General Manager Carroll Dawson announced. In narrowing their roster to the NBA requirement of 12 active players, the Rockets have placed forward Dan Langhi on the injured list with bilateral medial tibial periositis and waived guard Stais Boseman.

Langhi averaged 1.6 points and 0.6 rebounds in five preseason games for the Rockets. The 6-11, 220 lb. forward was acquired by the Rockets via trade from the Dallas Mavericks on June 28, 2000. He played for Houston's Rocky Mountain Revue Summer League team in Utah where he averaged a team-leading 12.8 points on 58.1 percent shooting.

Boseman saw action in three preseason games, averaging 3.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists. The 6-4, 200 lb. guard was invited to Rockets training camp after an impressive performance for the Rockets entry in the Rocky Mountain Revue Summer League. Boseman averaged 7.3 points and 3.0 rebounds on 50.0 percent shooting at the Revue.

The Rockets roster now stands at 12 active players: Shandon Anderson, Matt Bullard, Kelvin Cato, Jason Collier, Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley, "Moochie" Norris, Hakeem Olajuwon, Carlos Rogers, Maurice Taylor, Kenny Thomas and Walt Williams.

What will KG play SF or PF. The reason being that if he plays SF he will kill us with Walt and Bull guarding him. If he plays PF we can push him around at least with MO-T, KT and Los, well maybe not Los.

    I bet oeilpere does.

Actually, it's probably something minor (and unconfirmable). Injured Reserve is Rudy's extended roster mechanism.

I liked Boseman a little bit, maybe we can call him up if we get some injuries.

The Rockets should have kept Axel Dench, he is playing great back here in Australia and worhty of a bench NBS spot. and man for a big fells he has a nice shot to match some good solid post moves and rebounding.

I'm just a 2nd year med student, but I'm pretty sure that bilateral medial tibial periositis is just an inflammation of the medial aspect of the tibia in your leg. In other words, just sore knees.

It obviously means Langhi is not good enough to make the final cut. I dont care about cutting the other guy. I am just very dissappointed about dan the MAN. I thought he would be all awesome, but he ends up being worse that the BUll.

I liked Axel Dench!!!!! I was real disappointed he didn't make it on the team this year and would love to see him back with us! Why was he cut anyway? He fit our team perfectly, wouldn't cost us much, and performed really well at RMR....

Smeg, is there a place on the web where I can check up on how he's doing over there during the course of his season?
