Lamar Odom and Isaiah Rider Both Suspended 5 games by NBA

    I just saw this on the sportsticker on the bottom of the screen on ESPN and it said each of these players were suspended due to violating the NBA Drug Policy. No more information was given.

    Rider's suspension doesn't surprise me, but Odom's sure does.

    I agree that Odom's suspension is surprising.
    They probably did whatever Jason williams did during the summer because he was suspended for the same amount of time at the start of the season.

    JR needs to clean up his act. If that guy could straighten up, he could put up 20 per night for almost any team.

    How does this help the rockets cause? The clippers have no chance at the playoffs and the lakers are already in.

    Why would you be surprised by Odom doing drugs (and getting caught)? There aren't too many players I'd be surprised to hear about doing drugs. And of all the people who could get caught, leave it to a young guy to not know how to beat the system. I'm just surprised that Rider got caught. You would think he'd have some veteran experience on getting around drug-testing.

    I doubt the Rockets come out sleepwalking in the middle of a playoff chase and that near-debacle against the Hawks.
