Ariza's contract is an expiring. Not sure what he is worth but I don't see why the Rockets would not resign him for a reasonable price tag. Ariza doesn't need to start.

Kobe coming out of retirement is funny, ridiculous, and unlikely. It would also be really entertaining. Granted Kobe would have to play with a THIRD number for the Lakers. Plus Bryant and Wade have lost a step or four but they would be guarding the worse perimeter player. I bet LeBron and Kobe would want to play together for at least 1 year. And Bryant doesn't have to start.

But Wade is following LBJ wherever.

Plus the dynamic that Ariza has with our other Rockets (potential Rockets ) is more important than taking a flyer on KCP. I like the kid but it'll take a few more years before he becomes that 3&D wing with a veteran presence on a playoff.

Agreed. I don't like Kobe but he is a Hall of Fame player. He had a year to rest his body and may get motivated to tie Jordan in championships if the right team is set up.
