It seems that the Lakers have less than average talent after Shaq and Kobe. How bad is Shaq's ankle and how long is he expected to be out? Is the Rider experiment going to blow up soon on the Lakers? Shaq didn't play tonight (andt he Nugs made them pay ), but the way many were talking in the locker room after the game, he should be back for the next game. As for Rider, I was hoping he'd explode, but the way he talked after the game, it sounds like he's turned it around. Phil Jackson has really helped him I think. Kobe is a prick however. ------------------ Nuggets4 The Pinnacle - Rising to the Top With the Denver Nuggets http://www.NugsPinnacle.com
Rider dribbled out the clock and the Fakers$ never even got off a shot attempt. I don't think this endeared him to anybody especially Kobe who lost another chance to play hero again. Kobe had a major scowl on his face as he walked (stomped?) off the court. IMO, the Faker$ without Shaq would be a .500 at best. They would be the Raptors of the West - lots of highlight reel stuff & not too many "W's". If you took out the top 2 players from each team and played the current season, the LAL would be in the Lottery section. Translated, this means that without the Kobe and Shaq, the Lakers are TERRIBLE! ------------------ GATER
By the same token, if you had taken the two top players from the Bulls several years ago, they would have been in the lottery, too. The Lakers will be just fine. ------------------ Jazzkiller [This message has been edited by slcrocket (edited November 19, 2000).]
Shaq played tonight, but you have to wonder if he is still hurting. A very uncharacteristic Shaq line: 4-11 shooting, 14 points, 9 rebounds. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier fan club! Looking for next year's Jason Collier or Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com
If that were to happen, it would be Portland against Charlotte in the NBA Finals, with Portland blowing the Hornets out in 4 games. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
