Sam Amico says that the Lakers are looking to trade Gasol, should the Rockets be interested and if so, how much should they offer?

    33 year-old with bad feet.

    Won't happen.

That means Dwight is leaning towards Houston.

Why trade for him when you can wait for him to be amnestied?

Alternatively, maybe they should trade him to OKC for Perkins and 2 first rounders.

If Howard falls through and Smith or Milsap isn't willing to sign the 1-and-1(TO) max deal, I'm all for renting Gasol as long as we don't trade anything valuable for him. A straight cap dump scenario. Then we're free to live life again in 2014. Sign me up.

Can't see Gasol in our fast paced offense... He old.

FWIW, keep in mind our offense isn't likely to remain the same with better half court players.

    Exactly.

If we can't get anything done for a real star, one year of Gasol is fine as long as we don't give up anything of real value.

The precise reason Gasol is on the market is to hopefully get us to bite and trade for him so we are no longer an option for Dwight. If Dwight falls through then Pau will most likely be taken off the market...or at least the bids required to trade for him will have to rise substantially to get him away from LA.

Not necessarily true. Spurs this season had solid half court players but still tried to emphasize (and were at their best imo in) transition basketball.

It was Johnny Hopkins and Sloan Kettering. And they were blazing that **** up every day.

But she spurs have better 3 pt shooters. They shot with purpose. We shot to create the illusion of being a better offense.

we weren't that fast in the playoffs at all..could have used him big time.

i think gasol and his expiring contract would be great..perhaps we could clear Jlin off the books as well :D

They have Danny Green, who granted is a pretty awesome 3 point shooter, but beyond that, they had a cpl guys who are good from the corner but lousy everywhere else and Turnobili.
