I can't help but think that this was a poor decision. Hopefully he makes the practice squad, but I bet he gets picked up by somebody else.
Thanks for posting - some of us don't read every post of every 40+ page thread, and news like this gets lost. I hope Labhart sticks around, butwouldn't be surprised if he's picked up. Seems like the perfect slot receiver for this system, but Keyshawn/Posey obviously have a longer leash because of where they were drafted.
denver probably picks him up, winds up with 800 yards this season and they get knocked off in their first playoff game after the bye .
I wasn't aware that he was a significant enough player to get his own thread when he's cut. Just because he's small and white doesn't mean he's Wes Welker.
Labhart was kind of a high-profile training camp guy. I don't disagree with the decision too much but I do think he could have been useful. I'm not sure if he's better than Keshawn Martin or not.
Keyshawn has done some nice things in the preseason. His catch and ability to get both feet in bounds last night on Keenum's one good pass was pretty good. In the 2nd game against Atlanta they threw the ball to him at the line of scrimmage (technically a run) and he picked up good yards. But most importantly, Martin is going to be our return guy. They put Labhart back there on punts last night and he looked uncomfortable. A lot of 6th receivers are guys who can be used on special teams as returners (Trindon Holliday) and if Labhart could've been "that guy" then I think he makes the roster. But he's not so he didn't.
