those "kyrie leaving the celtics to go to the knicks" rumors never made sense.

kyrie is in the absolute best position he can be in.

I think the spice of The Big City is a real thing. Getting Kyrie on tape saying he is committed to re-signing is huge IMO. Kyrie did walk back his comment on the Earth being flat though so he can change his mind. We all know the earth is flat.. there is no curve in the horizon!!

Smart move. He's ready to ride the coattail of Tatum as he blossoms into a superstar.

Huge news for Boston. I like them for a 3-5 year run out East. Look forward to beating them for championship

He's in the best situation in the league besides Golden State. Why would he leave?

Definitely the most overrated player in the NBA. He is Westbrick with a slightly better shot, way worse defense and extremely fragile.

Hopefully Boston signs him to the super max to ensure they will never win a ring for the next 5 years.

What? He is really good and a huge reason the Celts could beat the Warriors. No worse than Curry.

Westbrook sucks , shouldn't be compared to players who impact winning.

Wonder if the Celtics can find a taker for Hayward before the ASB.

Considering the talent on the Celtics roster and the fact they have the best coach in the NBA, the Knicks rumors never made sense.

If Kyrie remains healthy, they should win a couple of championships over the next 4-5 years. They are my favorite EC team to watch.

I admit i always thought that Irving was that kind of players who wants to play for the Knicks, not sure why but welp, seems like i was wrong.

Curious to see if Ainge will agree to max him though, to me he's really not worth it but eh, we'll see.

Kyrie is not dumb. He's does not want to get traded in season. Pre-agency in the NBA is real. If the pelicans have a bad start and think AD will leave, Boston would serve Kyrie on a platter to them. By Kyrie getting out front and saying he wants to resign in Boston, it tells all the other GMs to not go after him via in season trade.

obviously the best move as far as being part of a great team but this era has proved things like this don't exactly mean much.

With Kyrie, boston will be one the favs for the foreseeable future in the east

If it was LeBron and Westbrook, they never would have made it to game 7 against GSW when Irving hit the shot of all shots.

Also, how is he overrated? And by whom? He's not in MVP conversations, and barely in "best PG" conversations.

He might sign there. But I'm not buying that he's committed to it at this time.

Kyrie has put everything on the line this season. I agree with you it's questionable if Ainge maxes him. I think Kyrie and his people are grounded enough to realize that. (see IT)

If Rozier improves his consistency and goes to another level, might be time to get out your popcorn.

C'mon man how do you know that? Maybe if Lebron had Westbrick they would've won through defense.

Irving is overrated his current NBA 2K rating is 92 and the GMs have him ranked higher than Harden AND most people think he is a franchise player.

Irving is a worse version of Lilliard, he is Lilliard but shorter and with health issues. Dude has never achieved anything by himself as the focal point he either gets injured or his teams go top 4 lotto. Pretty sure Irving isn't worth the max of 40M maybe he is worth 20M since he will play half the season.
