Thinking Lowry may gotten his spot.

not even remotely true. They probably figured Miami was the only team deserving of three all-star selections
No Lowry, no Dragic <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Phoenix's Goran Dragic has been passed over for the Western Conference All-Star reserves, league source tells Yahoo.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/429039546399862784">January 30, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Maybe because they figure Lowry would be on the outs after this season and wanted to reward a Raptor who'll be there for a couple years? I don't know.

He's been the catalyst for an overachieving team.
If that's the reasoning, they should have gone with Lowry. He's less likely to have an all-star deserving year in the future, so let him be the all-star this year.
