I bet if Kyle took as many shots as Brooks, he'd average 20ppg. But I don't want him to. Not that he's not a good shooter, its because i want Scola and Martin taking those shots. Oh yeah, Lowry plays defense.
Like I've always said, u guys play favorites too much. Is Kyle lowry better than Aaron Brooks? Hell no. He's playing better than Brooks simply because Brooks is coming off injury.
are you serious? Comparing lowry to billups??? Man..... it's not even close..... billups would beat lowry to death....
I guess that really depends on how you define "better." I'd rather say something like who runs the team better or who has lead to more wins.
Here's Billups: Age / PPG / APG / 3PT% / PER 21 / 11.2 / 3.9 / 32.9% / 13.6 22 / 13.9 / 3.8 / 36.2% / 15.1 23 / 8.6 / 3.0 / 17.1% / 10.5 (only 13 games played) 24 / 9.3 / 3.4 / 37.6% / 14.1 25 / 12.5 / 5.9 / 39.4% / 17.6 26 / 16.2 / 3.9 / 39.2% / 20.4 27 / 16.9 / 5.7 / 38.8% / 18.6 Here's Lowry: Age / PPG / APG / 3PT% / PER 20 / 5.6 / 3.2 / 37.5% / 18.3 (only 10 games played) 21 / 9.6 / 3.6 / 25.7% / 14.3 22 / 7.6 / 3.6 / 25.5% / 14.4 23 / 9.1 / 4.5 / 27.2% / 15.5 24 / 11.0 / 7.2 / 39.2% / 15.2 (25 games into season) Look at that. I just compared them. And Lowry's still breathing, whaddaya know.
I'd be willing to bet my life he wouldnt!! Brooks was the league leader in 3pt fg's made last season and shot an outstanding percentage. Brooks is only the sixth player in NBA history to make over 200 3-pointers and have over 400 assists in a single season... Dont be dilusional... I'm not trying to be a jerk but this is rediculous..
Shooting has nothing to do with Lowry's success, please stop acting as though it's the only thing that matters.
Saying that he can shoot as well as Brooks is the same as saying he can't shoot, both are lies. He's somewhere in the middle. And btw, Antoine Walker has done 200/400 multiple times in his career. You can't win with an Antoine Walker at the point, as much as I like both Toine and Brooks (I really do).
Brooks's career TS% .538 Lowry's career TS% .537 Brooks does score at a much faster rate than Lowry. Lowry does his damage from inside the arc and the line. Lowry is actually having a bad year from inside the arc and at the FT line. I don't think Lowry could score 20ppg if he shoot as much as Brooks. His efficiency would likely go down with the extra shots as well as the fact that Brooks has never scored 20 ppg or ever dished out 6 apg.
I'm a little confused by your wording, I'm not saying Lowry is the worst shooter on this team..I'm saying Brooks is one of the best in the league. Lowry isn't horrible but Brooks is in a whole different category..Walker used to be a heck of a player, his off court antics and lack of motivation arent things that i worry about with AB
19.6 and 5.6 last season........ if your honestly nitpicking the .4 right its laughable...(and a little smug)
Well you said "Lowry can't shoot" and that's not true. And I loved Walker, he was one of my favorite players back in the day, but you can't win with that kind of player running your team. I see a lot of that in AB, he bring the ball up and jack up shots too much.
I suggest you go over your league history before embarrassing yourself further with your ignorance, T FOR 3!!!. 1. The manager that drafted Lowry had nothing to do with any of those moves. However, he did have something to do with creating the great Lakers dynasty of the 80s, as well as being the architect of the Shaq/Kobe tandem. Then again, if you bothered to actually watch the video, you may have recognized him. Or not, since you may not be old enough. 2. The manager that did draft a "better" PG afterwards and put Lowry on the bench was also responsible for trading Gasol and signing Iverson, part of "the worst management in the league" as you called them. HINT for the slow kids: This is not the same guy as in 1. 3. What exactly does this thread have anything to do with Brooks? Oh wait, it is SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the OP that it has NOTHING to do with him. But apparently expecting someone who has already proven himself to be ignorant and an adolescent to actually be literate was a stretch. MY BAD.
I think his size is a knock towards is ceiling, he's only 5"11 opposed to nash 6'3, kidd 6'4, rondo 6"3 and other top pg's.
