White privilege is real. No, it’s not an automatic bye like it was in the Madmen days. I came here without a high school degree and two dollars in my pocket. Hard work was all I needed! No it doesn’t mean minorities can’t be successful, but it’s a leg up if you know the system and play by it’s rules. I’m okay to admit that my life was a little bit easier (tickets, jobs, workplace, customer service) because i wasn’t born black or Mexican.
