I think they got the worst coach they could have for that roster .... this is the NBA version of the chuck and duck .... they need to slow it down and take advantage of their strength in the post.

Hey hey hey now. I read this somewhere from another article which used this tweet as a source.

Besides, Kobe has implicitly said that they need to make changes.

Their walking corpses say high. Those guys and even shaq were on the downside of their careers. Shaq was still able to be a star and was very effective but those other guys were just ok. That was one of the reasons they didn't have the problem the lakers do now. Shaq was an effective leader that commanded a certain type of play that allowed everyone to function within their roles and get their shots.

Lakers average on-court age right now is 30.6 years old.

It sounds like Mchale (big man/post up offense) and Dantoni (run and gun) would be happy to trade spots. But... that ain't happenin, so let's leave it at that.

Kobe is a spoiled player and these comments lately might seriously end the debate of who's the GOAT.

the lakers should be the slowest paced team in the nba, their half court talent is phenomenal and the slower pace would help the aging legs on defence.

Instead they have D'Antoni, it's probably about time Jerry relieved Jim of his duties though, he's managed to turn Kupchak's Adelman and P Jackson choices into Mike Brown and D'Antoni.

I'm surprised Howard has been just mum through it all. The guy just doesn't give a ****.

Howard has commented on the issue. Talked about players needing to make sacrifices for the team, and also mentioned the importance of defense.

I do not really blame MDA. He was offered a chance to reunite with Nash and coach the Lakers with a LOADED team....

However, I do blame ownership. Buss Jr. knew he had an older team and a backcourt that is the WORST defensively in the NBA. Yet, Buss Jr. let his ego and pocket book get in the way and did not bring in Phil Jackson (that was very familiar with Gasol and Kobe). Buss Jr. felt he knew better than Jackson and now you are seeing the outcome.

Kobe is calling for changes, but the problem is that the Lakers are not going to get equal return for any of their players. No one is going to offer anything of real value for Gasol, and everyone knows he will be back to 20/10 if he leaves. No one wants Artest... Nash isn't going anywhere, he is old and the Lakers will get very little right now that will help them. Howard is not going to be traded.... he may not even resign in LA.

So now the Lakers have to stand pat or blow the whole thing up... the problem is Kobe is 34 years old.... so what you see on the floor is what you get.

C'mon Kobe, seek help from within, and that starts with you.

LOLwut? He had prime Lamar Odom, Fish+a few other guys in the Shaq trade. That year they were bad, but then they got Bynum out of that. Afterwards they trade Kwame for Pau and some LULZ. Now they traded Bynum for Howard, and got Nash in FA after the Raptors basically said they will sell their soul for Nash.

Kobe's the luckiest guy in the modern era, thanks to Mitch Kupchak always creating a winner around him.

I like ragging on Kobe, but I don't see anything terribly offensive about his comments. They do have a ton of talent, but obviously the team is dysfunctional and the parts don't fit right. Trading out a starter for someone who complements the rest of the team better is probably exactly what they need.

Kobe has all that talent and they have trouble winning. Harden doesn't really have much talent and yet, the Rockets still have a better record...
