oooh. dang. That trade makes the Clips better -- which is not something I want to see happen.

Not worried about the Clips. They have no big man depth which will be the death of them.

Trade shouldn't make the Clips better at all. Collison brought some organization to that second unit. They already had solid wing defense.

Shump has been playing pretty blah for NY this year.

Typical Knicks. Focus on how well Collison played during the time CP3 was out and ignore the stuff before that -_-

Interesting move since I believe Collison has a cheap player option for next season -- not likely to take it.

Collison has outplayed Shumpert this season and seemed like a good fit for the Clippers so I'm kind of surprised. I guess Shumpert has higher potential though once he fully recovers from his injury but that may not happen this season.

Umm we don't either. Even if we don't trade Asik who knows how he will play.

I'm a bit surprised that the Clips would consider it. Collison turned out to have tremendous value for them when Paul went down. Who would be their backup point? I need to look at their roster.

As bad as NYs PGs have been is Collison worth giving up what little assets they have left? Lol the Knicks man just never learn. That city is destined not to see finals in the foreseable future.

    Update: http://fansided.com/2014/02/19/nba-...s-clippers-expected-trade-matt-barnes-knicks/

According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, the Knicks don’t want to trade Shumpert unless they’re getting a first-round pick back or Raymond Felton is included. The Clippers don’t want to take on Felton in the trade but Stein states that middle ground may have been found thanks to Matt Barnes.

As we reported earlier today: Knicks telling teams they will NOT part with Shumpert unless you furnish a first-rounder or take back Felton

Which would suggest Knicks & Clips getting closer to THEIR deal now that Matt Barnes expected to take Reggie Bullock's place in final form

Clips do NOT want to take back RFelton's contract w/Shumpert for DCollison. But inserting Matt Barnes instead of Bullock softens hit for LAC

As someone who actually watches the Knicks occasionally, I can say without a doubt that Collison is way better then Shumpert.

talks have cooled, but come tomorrow 3pm ET, it will be dead. I actually dont see Shump really helping the Clips, he has been off this season.

depends on how teams value Shumpert vs. Bev

I may be wrong, but in our PG heavy league, Shump > Bev
