They should make a very good regular season team. Piling on tons of Ws against teams they should beat and edging out a few tough games against the league's bests. However, I have my doubts about the post-season for the reason that they are simply a very old team. The grind of the post-season after a grueling 82-games regular season can really wear down the veterans. That's when youth and athleticism matters. See Kidd, Rasheed and rest of the old-timers keep up with the youth and athleticism of the Heat or OKC Thunder.

Biggest difference? They have much better point guard than they had last year. Felton is Jordan for Lin, his handles are amazing and he can actually shoot and defend. It's ridiculous that they even considered matching Lin's offersheet.

Its only 4 games so far. Anyone can win 4 games straight. The Spurs has a better record in 6-1, but gets no attention while the Knicks are all over the news. But anyway, you know how the Knicks is, when they are hot, everyone is playing well together and shooting a bunch of 3s that just keep going in.

But when they start cooling down, JR start taking bad shots, Melo start doing his thing again, other 40+ age players start breaking down and the Knicks will fall back down to earth.

Ok that's a little too far. I still thinking letting a 23 yo PG go was a bad move on Knick's part and I don't know how long Kidd will be there. Having a solid PG which Lin was did help, but I'm wondering if the personnel were that bad last year for the Knicks.

You need solid play maker to direct traffic, and we've all seen how important just that is when Lin and Harden are not on the floor and how much better the rest of the team is once they're on the floor.
