Former rocket Kirk Snyder has been arrested(http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5165350) LEBANON, Ohio -- An Ohio judge has sentenced a former NBA player to three years in prison for breaking into his neighbors' home and attacking them. Warren County Judge Neal Bronson sentenced 26-year-old Kirk Snyder on Wednesday and ordered him to pay $5,550 in restitution. Snyder made no comment. His attorney argued for probation. A jury convicted Snyder in April of aggravated burglary, felonious assault and assault in the March 2009 break-in in Deerfield Township north of Cincinnati. Snyder had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity but was later found competent to stand trial. The former University of Nevada star was the 16th player taken in the 2004 NBA draft. He played for four NBA teams and a professional league in China.
Wrong forum and thread title misleading, i believe he was arrested for these charges months ago. This was just a sentencing.
The forum is fine, he is a former rockets who is not longer in the NBA and yes, he was arrested a while ago for this
Yeah, I realized that after it got submitted. now I'm curious because on a previous espn article from when he actually got arrested, the sentence was supposed to be much much longer
Sad story for Kirk Snyder. It's unfortunate he had to throw away his basketball talent by doing this.
He didn't just get arrested. That's last year's news. He just got sentenced. He's dead to me anyway. He's not a Rocket any more.
And there were people on this forum asking for JVG's head because he didn't play this guy against Utah in '07?
How to do you fall from being a player of a playoff contender team, to getting arrested for home invasion? Sad.
Actually, I am questioning this even more now. I would have loved to see him go cuckoo and knock the **** out of one of the Jazz. "Are you insane??!" "No, but I plea one. BTW, here are Kirilenko's Nikes. He wont be needing them anymore"
As someone has already stated, he was sentenced. His crime happened a while back. He didn't get arrested again. I went ahead and corrected the title.
