Sure, they might franchise him, but why not go out and get him?

Gruden loves him. No way they let him get away. RG3 on the other hand is a different story

Washington has already publicly stated that they are going to extend him long term with a big money contract, and I pray that they do. Cousins is false hope. This is his absolute peak, and he is very flawed. They're only winning because the rest of their division is a dumpster fire.

Man, at this point I just want somebody, anybody, that doesn't just feel like a one year rental. Flawed or not. Our amount of instability at the QB position has been incredible. 8 different starting QB's through the past 2 seasons, is that correct?

because you'd have to outspend the Redskins to get him. Which means pay him something like $18M/yr. (Just throwing a # out...but would have to exceed their offer, which as someone said above, is going to be long-term and significant)

    do yawl even sleep, brehs?

I don't know about cousins. Anything looks better this carousel of a mess at the qb position. But at this point I'd rather have b.o.b hitch his wagon to the qb that arouses him. it's been on him to get the young guy, he hasn't found it. Now the pressure by gangsta mcnair is on him to do so.

You can find a Kirk Cousins type player in this draft. No reason to overpay for an average talent. The guy that would intrigue me from last night is Sam Bradford. He has an elite skill set and is still pretty young. Adding him to this team would them a contender in the AFC next year.

Unfortunately he will probably remain an Eagle regardless if Kelly is the coach.

    Two reasons:

    He sucks.

Washington is going to give him stupid money.

I imagine they find a franchise qb around the time their defense starts falling from elite status. It's the Texans way.

    ???? Bradford blows and he's also injury-prone.

I know we best draft a QB in the first two rounds no matter what
I think Cousins will be untouchable but he is like a poor man's Schaub

I don't think he can take a team to the SuperBowl
    Esp not this team

I am not looking for Mr. 11-5 - first round flame out
We need to start 'grooming' a QB of the future

Stafford or Cousins or RG3 can take the lumps while that guy comes into his own
