Perhaps this was part of the trade deal so we could pick him up for a cheaper price than what his contract was.

This makes sense. Our defense is pretty top notch but we are lacking serious offensive firepower on our squad. Brooks would be great.

Brooks couldn't cut it in SAC playing defer-ball. I don't see how he would thrive in HOU.

Maybe your right, but maybe he didn't want to bring him up for a reason. He knew they would have to waive Douglas or Brooks with Thornton, Thomas, Fredette, Evans, and Salmons.

They would have at least tried to ask for a second rounder for him. Plus, his contract will be cheaper (he is currently making $3.25 million).

Brooks has/had a $3.5 million player option for next year... that made his contract a non-starter for the Rockets, regardless of whether Morey likes him. If he'd come on a cheap deal for the remainder of this season, though? Might be a different story.

I think this is the last day for them to be released, the signing could theoretically take place after today.

I hope we pick him up. He would be an excellent fit in our starting lineup. An off the ball gunner who can play off of Harden and occassionally break down the offense.

Only if he agrees to wear the red jacket during his first press conference back.

I wouldn't be upset if we picked up Brooks. Guess we'll see. As was pointed out, it's today or forget it.

wish we hadnt signed olbrecht, im uneasy having only two point guards on the roster, had been trying to think of who we could sign off the streets at the pg spot.

i think ab would be just fine.

Garcia's contract may be useful later. Honeycutt would be waived.

Harden could tell Brooks Hero-Ball is better than Zero-Ball.

This would be a great fit. He'll play with a guard that can run the offense. All he needs to do is catch and shoot.

Bring him back. I just realized I still haven't changed my sig since he left. I think he will be a great fit in our run n gun offense.

Please, Please. He's a consistent shooter that can go off, if you leave him alone. I want him back!!!! He would be a great second option when Lin isn't feeling it.
