I just finished watching Sacramento and Dallas. The end of that game looked a lot like the end of the game here in houston the other night. The refs refuse to make calls against the kings! On one play Divacs clearly grabbed Bradley when the praying mantis clearly had possesion of an offensive rebound. Bradley losses the ball and the Kings go down the court for a score. No Call. Bradley gets a tech for complaining. Dirk goes up for three pointer. One of the kings goes for the block missing the ball completely and landing on Dirk knocking him to the floor. The shot was good but once again no call. There were various other bad calls and missed calls but I think you get the point. Apperently the refs have every intention of giving the Kings every oppertunity to succede. Just a side note. Howard Eisely (Steve Nash's back up)out played Jason Williams. Steve Nash was held out of todays game due to injury. Jason Williams is the most over-hyped player in the NBA! ------------------ [This message has been edited by crash5179 (edited January 15, 2001).]
I dont think The Kings are getting as much Respect at Home as they are on the Road . The Refs were horrible to Sac-Town and H-Town Saturday Night . Chris Webber doesnt get to the free Throw line every often . ------------------ "Its a good thing they don't make posters of European players" -Walt Williams after getting "posterized" by Zan Tabak .
It would be interesting to see them play the Lakers, another team the refs seem to give all the clutch calls. ------------------
Hell if its a Dallas loss i will take it. EVEN if it is against the Lakers or the Jazz ------------------ President of the Charles Barkley fan club...Oh he retired? When?
Why are the Kings so beloved by the NBA? Its not like they operate in a large market. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
I believe it's the Superstar factor (Webber) who gets them most of the calls. In addition Webber is a all-around good-guy so it's easier to be nice to him than some of the other Super-Star cry-babies/whiners. ------------------
It is kind of hard to tell, though, if they were making calls for the Kings or making calls against Cuban. ------------------ RealGM Rockets Draft Obligations Summary Gafford Art Artisan
Eisley's Line From That Game: Minutes: 45 FG Made/Attempted: 7/13 (53.8%) 3PT Made/Attempted: 6/8 (75%) Assists: 8 Points: 23 Jason Williams Line From That Game: Minutes: 39 FG Made/Attempted: 6/13 (46.2%) 3PT Made/Attempted: 5/9 (55.6%) Assists: 5 Points: 19 If by "out-played" you mean Eisley played more minutes than Jason Williams, then you're right. Just a side note. Nash is good, but he is not Jason Williams. ------------------ "Breaking up is hard to do...[with] everyone trying to make it a parting befitting all the professionalism that came before. Trying to find that Olajuwon graceful fade one more time." Scott Howard-Cooper (Sacramento Bee, ESPN.com)
im convinced that nash is BETTER than williams. I have never been impressed with williams, too fancy, no shot, selfish. Nash on the other hand is unselfish shoots well, and is a good defensive player. Dallas morning News is promoting him for all-defensive player as well as All-NBA I still dont think he is half the player steve, starbury, payton, or kidd is. ------------------ President of the Charles Barkley fan club...Oh he retired?
