you mean they can turn on an ipad but they can't press down on the play button? what a bunch of losers.
Get off my lawn, youngin! [/QUOTE] My mom and dad had these and they didn't show me a Cassette player until i was 8. Spoiler Hell i walked around with this in my pocket until i was 16 when i got my first ipod lol
Sorry, but this has to be played up for the camera. The 3.5mm headphone jack hasn't changed since 1970-something, and it's outlined in bright green for goodness sake. Maybe I could understand the little ones missing this, but the tweens? Not buying it.
If those kids can't figure out what a Walkman is in less than 60 seconds, they are either r****ded or the whole thing is a set up. What the Walkman and iPad have in common is a beautifully functional design, one that requires little or no understanding of the product to use. And when I was a kid, I was aware of the fact that some technology was outdated, but I didn't gasp like a slack jawed drunk every time I saw an example of it. That's why I'm always suspicious of these type of videos.
I'm surprised that they freaked out over the fact that you needed to use headphones. Yeah, you can listen to an iPod without headphones, but most people use them. That shouldn't be a shocker.
Well, that's what happens when the most popular Youtube personality is PewDiePie.... which kids and tweens are big fans of for some inexplicable reason...
The elementary school where my wife teaches still uses cassette players with the large headphones in the reading stations in the classrooms. All those kids would know what they were. its not a poor school..but because the the cassette players still work, why get rid of them?
Except for authenticity's sake, they didn't have to give the kids those giant old headphones...it's compatible with modern earbuds. And I agree, those kids seem bright, it's easy to say that it didn't have a built in speaker and you have to use earphones, which by the way are compatible with the same ones you use on your iPod.
Why is this even being discussed...? Of course they'd use large studio headphones, and of course the kids are going to play it up and overreact... they're going for views... It's youtube... Finebros are trying to compete with the likes of other "famous" react-to youtube makers.... like PewDiePie who gets views on overreactions to video games...
