I suggest a sign the next time the Celtics come to Toyota Center: "KG...Mayzar thinks your a douche! Signed, Rick Rickertt, Jose Calderon, the Chicago Bulls, AJ Price, Tyler Hansborough and the rest of America."
I remember after the Rockets beat the T-Wolves in the playoffs in '97, Barkley grabbed KG and talked to him. I always thought that was a great thing to do, and it's a shame that KG isn't willing to give advice and encouragement to the young guys like Barkley did.
It's really sad. KG was one of my favorite players. You ended up feeling bad for him in Minny. Giving all the effort and the team was just stuck in neutral. But boy is he a POOR winner! Really unfortunate.
Yeah. His media reputation in his "Kid" days in Minnesota was golden. I remember countless stories about the positive mentorship he was undergoing with Sam Mitchell, and how devastated he was by the loss of Malik Sealy. He was portrayed as the good guy in the blowup with Marbury. And now, just a few years later, he's correctly regarded as the NBA's number #1 ---hole.
All I got from that article is now I know former Rocket Lester "The Molestor" Conner is still in the NBA.
I've never seen a guy try and mean mug so animatedly as KG did after the Celtics beat the Bulls. I mean he's like literally sticking his chin out and wagging it at them. Preposterous.
if he were on the rockets methinks you would all love his "intensity" and "passion" for the game - exactly the two opposite things you all complain about Tmac not having.
Sure, we want PASSION from T-Mac. But outwardly taunting the opposition, the countless number of times KG has acted like a prick, ignoring other team's rookies and completely disrespecting them, and that RIDICULOUS celebration after he won the championship?? I know you were going for a dramatic overstatement, but I think you missed the boat on this one, bud.
