I think the key will be CP3..Harden..& EG all having a good series. I feel like all three have had good individual games throughout these playoffs, but I think they're going to have to all put it together at the same time against the Warriors. Thoughts?
all of the above. every single one of those is a key amongst others and choosing just one isn't the right answer
Golden State living rent free in the heads of so many Clutchfans. We ain't even playing them yet and this is the 50th thread.
Warriors ain't even that good! Swag Champs! shame (((they))) are going to humiliate harden and cp3 by having them """"choke"""" against LeBron in the finals
defense has been the only real mess-ups in our losses. i'm fairly confident about our gentleman's sweeps vs Minny/Utah, but w/ GSW, we need to kick it up a notch for 4 games against a tougher offensive force. i don't doubt the other things on the list, i think everyone will show up. you can tell by the way the team reacts to the wins, we're still hungry.
Honestly, I think all of those things need to happen for us to have a chance. And it's really too bad that Anderson has fallen out of the rotation, I don't see Nene contributing much against the Warriors considering how they play. If Anderson can play well as a stretch 5, then we'd be so much of a better team.
You need EVERYTHING to click to beat that team. CP3 can struggle against Curry, but if he loses that matchup I think we can still win. Capela has to ball on both sides 2/3 of these guys has to hit shots any given night - Ariza, Tucker, Luc EGO has to bring it and know when to drive vs when to shoot No off-nights for Harden 1 of these guys has to contribute at a high level any given night - Nene, Anderson, Green You cant keep putting Capela on an island against Curry on the perimeter after a switch, I know that's what we do, but... STOP. Control the boards No clean looks for Klay Win 3rd quarters, GSW goes nuts in quarter 3 Draymond's gameplay better look ugly, fighting for rebounds & positioning, taking cheap shots... not smooth & sexy, him hitting open 3's, making beautiful passes, getting clean steals off lazy passes Throw 4 guys at Durant (mostly Luc & Ariza) and cross your fingers CP3 needs to make sure the gameplan never gets derailed, maintain our tempo when GSW switches up the D
Have to be focused on D, role players gotta roll, probably need to shoot the 3 better. Gotta know that the Warriors always make their runs, just stay focused. For as great as the Warriors are, I think we are somewhat in their heads. If the Rockets can come out and smack them early and often, maybe just maybe we can push them out of their comfort zone. Tall task. It can be done.
I definitely think we could see Ryno return to the rotation against GS. I don't know how much this last benching has even further hurt his confidence tho.
Was benching the real problem for him? You can't hurt my confidence if I'm earning 20+ mil a year. I hope he doesn't get used, he's been awful at the 3. And without his 3s falling, I can't see him being useful at all.
BOO!!! bad form. delete your post OP or change it to be about Kellerman or Jeremy Lin or something . . .
Warriors' small lineups are pretty bad at rebounding, which is where Ryno made some impact recently. There's probably a few lineups where he helps at Oracle. I don't see much PT for him though. To the larger point, the Rockets need to force turnovers since GS is not very careful with the ball and can be lousy with rebounding unless they put in one of their more exploitable big men like David West, in which case he needs to be spending a lot of time on the perimeter with James. Golden State's traditional death lineup was kind of crap this year, they have been at their best with Javale Magee. Going to have to pick on him a lot.
Agreed. He has averaged 9 rebounds this season against the W's and over the last two seasons 45% from 3 in their building. He likes shooting there.
