That's not even the move of the time. They should have paid a 1st to dump Perkins and Nate Robinson for a nobody expiring. Russ Harden Sefolosha Durant Ibaka Tf???? Presti is a great GM. But he tried being too cute with trading harden.
Wow. Major props to KD for coming out and saying that. He didn't have to. Considering that both him and his teammate, Curry, are perennial MVP candidates themselves, it's even more surprising. My respect for him just went up at least a couple of notches.
But with Russ at the helm, Harden would never develop into the player he is today. That's why he should get traded then...
That's so cool. I love how everyone just seems to be resigned to the fact that it really is his time because he has been performing at such a high level for so long. It's weird to see a MVP race not really be a race. Harden still doing what he's been doing. The team being at the top doesn't hurt.
Well him and Curry aren't even in the running this year, so KD saying this isn't as classy a move as you think. If he was neck and neck with Harden for the MVP and said this then I would totally agree.
If you count draft-day trades, then Red Auerbach -- Russell (trade), Cowens and Bird. But not like Presti, 3 in 3 draft years...my word how did that happen.
KD has always been a supporter of Harden. This isn't a surprise to me coming from him. I don't remember if it was when KD was playing for OKC or GSW, but KD told the media that Harden was the most underappreciated player in the league.
What superstar-to-be Harden wanted: 4 years @ $15M What Presti wouldn't go over: 4 years @ $13.87M Couldn't find a way to make that work? Then you're NOT a great GM.
It was after harden didnt make any of the all nba teams. Summer 2016 He called out how dumb analysts are towards harden
I respect him as a human being and I respect his nba knowledge. He is smart and seems chill. I just dont respect the role he has played as a performer. I dont think he has enough integrity as a performer but thats just my opinion. You’re right that its our priviledge as fans to all have our own opinions.
Only thing is, is that Harden according to his own words, was content being Manu for the rest of his career. He was running the 2nd unit. They would have been unstoppable for a while.
Imagine a team like that, one that could make its opponents face 48 minutes of elite point guard play every game.
