    How tall is KD, 6'10?

How tall do you think one would need to be to beat him in a fight? 5'10?

Dude is a giant marshmallow snake.

Why do we only criticize athletes for responding negatively to people on social media, and not, say, actors or prominent members of the media? It seems like we hold them to a different standard, like they are politicians who are supposed to be above the fray.

Because this is a sports message board. If this was a movie message board then yes actors would get criticized

There's more to it than simple lack of confidence.
It's something that gnaws at his insides day in and out and makes him even with all the negative feedback his burner accounts got, to come back to social media and try to defend himself again and again.
    It's called Guilt.
If this was a simple hating post why reply? He did because he felt it was true.

Because sports is where people invest their emotions into a team or person. Acting your not rooting for anybody.

The guy can’t even bench 180 for his size. He’s soft.

I mean, how far has KD fallen from his MVP speech? Does anyone really know what makes this guy tick?

Agreed, especially with the bolded. Even during his one college year at Texas, he showed subtle signs of his petulance once or twice.

The KD we've seen over the past 5 years is his true colors.

Would they? I don’t think actors would be criticized, unless they are super famous.

Maybe that’s what it is. The more famous a person is, the less license he/she is given to respond defensively to criticism.

Does not matter how many rings he wins at GS.

The stigma is going to stay with him and he will always be remembered for his cowardly act.

There are already tons of jokes and memes floating around about him.

Dont think he doesn't look at them and it doesn't bother him.

    It does.

    A lot.

Which is why he comes on social media to defend himself.

....which makes him look even more pathetic. lulz...

Agree completely. Remember when he retaliated for Patrick Beverley injuring Westbrook? Instead of going after Beverley, or any other player on the Rockets, he hit Lin, the one player guaranteed not to fight back against him. By hitting Lin where he was injured no less! Pretty much the most cowardly course of action imaginable.

I used "retaliated" loosely by the way, because the idea of retaliating against somebody for something accidental is ****ing weak, if not nonsensical.

But Durant hasn’t abandoned the burners entirely. He revealed on the latest episode of Showtime’s All the Smoke with former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson that he still feels compelled to respond to haters from behind a mask from time to time.

“I’m still going to do the burner thing,” Durant said. “There’s some s--- where you’ve just got to be like, these folks are always going to figure out a way. Certain people, I’m going to come back on my regular account. But if I’m just trying to do my thing, dip in—I got the burners. I just slipped up that one time, and you know why I slipped up.”
