Scottie Pippen had it all wrong when he recently compared LeBron James with Michael Jordan, said one former Chicago Bulls teammate. "The irony to me is that LeBron is not Michael. LeBron is actually Scottie," former Bull and current television analyst Steve Kerr said Monday on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "He's so similar to Scottie in that defensively he was just a monster, could guard anybody, really more of a point forward than scoring guard. Scottie always loved to distribute the ball. That's really where LeBron's preference is. "Phil Jackson used to call Scottie a 'sometimes shooter.' Sometimes they would go in, sometimes they wouldn't. That's how it is with LeBron. He's a great talent and a great player but you can see his flaws as as a basketball player. He doesn't have an offensive game that he can rely on: no low-post game, no mid-range jump shot so when the game really gets tough he has a hard time finding easy baskets and getting himself going. That's what Michael did in his sleep so that's why the comparison is wrong." http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=6656859
cause of Jordan... F Scottie.. and F lebron.. Kerr is right thought.. Both Scottie and Lebron are two of the biggest d-bags the league has ever seen.
If he's Pippen, he's a very wealthy man's Pippen. Anyone think Pippen could have led the Cavs to the Finals?
He is right on all accounts. It still baffles me that all these years in the league and he has not worked on a post up game. He should be dominating in the post. Instead he is trying to work on his jumper which will always remain inconsistent because he is not a natural shooter. The Heat should have had two players wrecking havoc in the post: James and Bosh. Sadly for them, neither wants to go there.
Yeah Bron and Scottie are the most evil folks to play in the NBA. They beat up fans, they didn't raise their kids, they raped women, they beat their girlfriends up, they went in the stands and spit on a fan, they threw a basketball in the stands and heat their teammate daughter. Two of the biggest douchebags ever!
It's true, now that I think about it. Lebron is very similar to Pippen. Plus, they are both douchelords.
Makes sense...Lebron needs to develop a jump hook, at the very least. Overall he just needs to be smarter out there. He had barea last night on the post up and he used his arm to push off...might have been some flopping involved, but you dont extend your arm in that situation. Just moonwalk his a$$ to the rim.
You can talk about the personal stuff all you want but it isn't the same as when players do things directly related to the game. Scottie sat on the bench and refused to come in and we all know what kind of player he was in Houston. Lebron on the other hand has done several things directly related to the game to show a lack of respect for it including dancing, not shaking hands, possibly quitting in series etc. I tend to take the seperate the art from the artist approach when it comes to athletes. Unless you are actually convicted of a crime I'm not going to say you shouldn't be allowed to play. I do however have a problem with players that quit and disrepsect the game like Pippen and Lebron do sometimes with a bigger emphasis on Lebron.
Come on. Scottie at least helped Jordan get his six rings. LeBron couldn't even help Wade get his second.
Pippen begs to differ: Pippen in first 3peat: 20.9P 8.94R 7.4A 45.6%FG 4.1TO LeBron in two finals: 19.5P 7.1R 6.8A 41.7%FG 4.7TO
Pippen led a Jordan-less Bulls to 50+ wins and lost to the Knicks in 7 games. That's the same Knicks team that lost to the Rockets in the finals. That's also the same Knicks team that would beat any of the LEastern teams in Lebron's finals run. So yeah, I think Pippen can lead a team to the finals the same way Kidd or AI or Lebron did. Running through a bunch of mediocre teams only to get demolished by a superior WC team.
This was quite obvious but too many people in the industry wanted to sell Lebron as the next MJ. Its good for business, but now that everyone is hating on the guy his flaws are being brought into the spotlight.
I was considering at the start of the season starting a poll on who will the emdia call the next mj this year. Because, it's not an if, it's just a who and when
