To me, if the "as good as" is a comparison to Capela, I think most would agree with you. But from the prospective of having the second unit run the same plays we run for Capela is a nice luxury. Would you agree with that?

I really hope we’re not so against having a Faried-Capela line-up that we will literally never see it.

I’m not saying use it every game or for long stretches. And I get the game isn’t necessarily played that way anymore for the most part but it should still be tested out for some matchups though I feel like that will go against our philosophy.

The spacing would be terrible. Faried isn't a good enough defender to make up for his lack of spacing. He and Capela would block the lane for Harden and CP3. There are only so many rebounds to go around. We can try it, we certainly tried the twin tower approach with Yao and Deke once, but we know from the start what the drawbacks are. Would the potential benefit be that we own the boards?

    Faried makes Capela expendable?
Morey can sign Faried long term contract then trade Capela for a rookie contract in July.

We would definitely own the boards. Faried can cut to the basket from the baseline and Capela is still top of the key pick and roll. You’re right it’s not the spacing we utilize mostly, but just sometimes if we get overpowered by size or if we’re playing a team with a Harrell or Blake at the 4. Hell even Boogie and Draymond. I get they can do it cuz Draymond and Boogie can hit the three, but meh, they’re not unguardable snipers. Let’s F em up.

I just feel like we’re too obsessed with our playing our style we don’t give anything else a chance ever with regards to lineups and rotations. But whatever, I’m not gonna pretend I know anything about coaching a team and the schematics.

No way.... Farid will be better off the bench for the Rockets with the second unit.

Him and Cp3 and EG need to get their chemistry right....Because once Clint comes back....we are going back to the line up we had before the injuries....and everyone needs to buckle down and get their chemistry right.

I honestly can’t wait for Clint to get back and see what this team looks like full.

Having one of fareid or Clint in at all times is going to be huge on both sides.

Ppl get to hung up on defense. I’m of the belief that the real reason we were so good on that end last year it because we were the best? Defensive rebounding team in the league we just didn’t give up second chance points.

Fast track to this year and we’re the second to worst defensive rebounding team in the league.

Maybe I’m wrong but I really think the only difference in our rating is rebounding.

Luc was a great wing defender but the reality is he only played half the season and not much of the second half and none of the playoffs and that’s when our rating skyrocketed.

I’m somewhat worried about cp3 he was okay tonight but maybe that’s all he needs to be since Harden has clearly taken his game to another level and had reached his true peak.

EG looks fantastic on both sides since returning. Ennis even has been better his defense has been very noticeable imo.

Pj is pj does the little things same with Rivers those guys are dogs add Faried to that group also. I think allstar break will help rivers shooting he hasn’t been the same since he hurt his finger. He’s not some 50% shooter like the first 10 games or whatever when we got him but he’s a solid 36% guy that can take and make 2-3 a game with 7 attempts but what his true value is on offense is his ballhandling and playmaking. Guys very underrated in both.

I want House Back and if their is a decent 3&D guy for trade for Chriss knight and a 1st I think Morey should jump.

Adding a bazmore level player would do wonder for depth and just overall talent.

No one can match GS in that department but we would have the best chance. Screw Boston their depth is overrated.

    Harden
    Cp3
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Clint
    Rivers
    Fareid
    Ennis
    Bazmore
    House

    That’s a nasty nasty team.

Morey hurry up and make it happen.

Wasn’t implying he starts. Just saying I’d like to see him play power forward alongside Clint at some point

I just can’t see many scenarios where it would make sense. 2 guys with zero spacing capability on the court just doesn’t work nowadays. Situationally for a hand full of minutes against the right team, maybe. No way it’s a regular thing.

The good thing about Faried is his attitude. It looks like he's enjoying himself and putting in the effort every game.

Faried is going to cost us most of our MLE next season. We do need to upgrade the SF position. I wonder what Knight can bring us a expiring contract.
